Data protection regulations

DJE Kapital AG is pleased to welcome you to this website and to note that you are interested in our company and its products. As one of the largest bank-independent asset managers in the German-speaking area, we would like you to feel secure while visiting our website. We therefore attach importance to the protection of your privacy and personal data during collection, processing and use in connection with your visit to our homepage. Your data is protected in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations, notably the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) and the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz). Below you will find a description of the kind of data collected during your visit to our website and the use of such data.

Collection and saving of personal data

During the use of this website, your personal data will be collected and saved by our company only to the extent to which you wish such data storage and processing to take place within the context of an inquiry or registration for specific products or services offered by our company ("contact inquiry") or to the extent to which you wish to use services provided by our organisation. When collecting and saving your personal data, DJE Kapital AG will take care to comply with all relevant German and European data protection legislation. To the extent to which we collect and save your personal data for a purpose requiring your consent under the statutory regulations, we will always request your explicit consent. We trust you will appreciate the fact that we may be unable to process your inquiry or registration or that you may be unable to avail yourself of a desired service if you fail to give such consent.

In all other cases, you can visit our website without providing any personal data. We merely log all homepage impressions and downloads of files stored on our homepage. These logs are used for internal system-related and statistical purposes. The following information is logged: web browser, referring page, name of file accessed, data volume transferred, access date and time, and confirmation of successful page impression. In addition, the – anonymised – IP addresses of the accessing computer are logged. This means that only anonymous access data can be recorded in our log file for the purpose of quantitative page impression measurement, which precludes the possibility of drawing conclusions about specific individuals.

Processing and use of personal data

To the extent to which you have submitted personal data, e.g. in contact inquiries via our contact form, we will process and use ("use") such data solely to reply to your inquiry, to process any contracts we have concluded with you and – only in cases permissible under the statutory regulations – for advertising, market-research or opinion-polling purposes.

Approval of use for advertising, market-research or opinion-polling purposes

Our company will use your personal data for the purpose of advertising, market research or opinion polling only if you have explicitly approved such use (e.g. in the contact form stored on this website). You may revoke such approval at any time and/or object to future use of your data (jvqreehs@qwr.qr). As prescribed by law, we will record any approval given.

Transmission of your data to third parties

Your personal data will be passed on or otherwise transmitted to third parties only if this is permissible under the statutory regulations, in particular for the purpose of contract processing or if you have given prior approval for such transmission, processing or other use of your personal data to or by the relevant third party. In addition, we may be obligated to disclose and transmit the data by virtue of a court ruling or an official order.

Data deletion

Saved personal data will be deleted if you revoke your approval of such storage, if knowledge of this data is no longer required to achieve the purpose of data storage or if other statutory reasons disallow storage of the data in question.

Right to information

Upon written request, we will be pleased to send you free information about the personal data we have stored about you.

Security notice

In order to prevent unauthorised access to or disclosure of your data and to guarantee the correct and legal use thereof, we have taken procedural and organisational measures for the protection of your personal data. We implement the latest technical and organisational security measures to protect the data you have made available to us from accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, damage or access by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological development.
Your personal data is only accessible by employees who require access to your data in order to perform their duties. Our employees are obliged to maintain confidentiality and to comply with data protection. Please note that personal data may only be processed or used in relation to completion of the respective legitimate task and that these obligations continue after completion of this activity. In addition, our employees are comprehensively instructed on data protection laws and are obliged to adhere to data secrecy and confidentiality (especially bank secrecy, telecommunications secrecy, professional secrecy and insurance secrecy).
As we are unable to guarantee absolute data security when communicating by email, we recommend sending confidential information by post.

Use of cookies, Google Analytics

During visits to our website, we use what are known as "cookies", i.e. brief text messages that providers of websites can save to your computer. Cookies serve the purpose of facilitating your visit to our website: they enable us to make our services available to you in a personalised manner. The cookies used do not serve the purpose of collecting personal data about you. Prior to saving, all data sets are made anonymous by changing the IP addresses. If you do not wish cookies to be saved to your computer, you will have to delete our cookies from your hard disk yourself.

This website uses Google Analytics, a Web analysis service from Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, text files that are saved to your computer and that make it possible to analyse your use of the website. Data on your use of this website gathered by these cookies are generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and saved there. In the event that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google will however shorten your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it will be shortened. On behalf of the operators of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide additional services associated with use of the website and Internet vis-à-vis the website operator. The IP address transferred from your browser within the context of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data by Google. You can prevent cookies from being saved using the appropriate setting in your browser software; in this case we would like to point out, however, that you may not be able to use all functions of this website fully. In addition, you may also prevent the collection of data gathered by the cookies and relating to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) at Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in via the following link: (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).
Further information can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html. In order to ensure the anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking), this website uses Google Analytics with the extension code ‘gat._anonymizeIp();’.
